First I want to welcome you to the Beginners Guitar Corner and congradulate you on your decision & choice on wanting to learn how to play the guitar!
I designed this section for the person who has a desire to learn how to play guitar, but doesn't know exactly how or where to begin.
The sessions givin here at Beginners Corner are progressive. So each session advances your knowledge & gives you something new to learn on the guitar.
The sessions here will be on, giving you methods for learning the guitar chords and guitar scales. A new session will be posted monthly on the Learning Guitar Sessions page.
Also I'd like to mention, the sessions start out for the person picking up a guitar for the first time to learn how to play it.
Now there are a few things I want to relate to you, that you should keep in mind while your first starting out.
Learning how to play guitar is challenging. For the first couple of weeks your fingertips will be sore from pressing down the guitar strings to form the guitar chords. Your also going to be using muscles in your fingers and hand that you may not of used very often, which will cause your hand to be sore. So at the same time your learning the guitar chords on your guitar, you will be toughening up your fingertips & building up muscles in your fingers and hand.
Alot of people get discouraged after there first couple of days learning guitar chords, because of the sore fingers. So in the end they never fulfil a desired dream or goal they may of had for learning guitar. Which I feel in itself is a sad reality. So I guess the bottom line here is, that if you have a true desire to learn guitar, you will get through the first couple of weeks with your hand being a little sore. And the good thing about it is, you only have to go through the sore finger stage once.
Another thing I'd like to point out is, that learning the guitar chords and the guitar scales on a guitar is basically easy. Becoming good at playing the guitar takes patience and practice. It's not going to happen overnight! Like everything else, the more you do something the better you become at it. The more you practice and play your guitar the better you will become!
And with that being said, let me wish you the best in your guitar learning journey, and I hope you find my techniques helpful, useful, and that you find your learning experience enjoyable!
